Dealing with fear

Fear is a feeling. It increases when we do not get rid of it. It grows into anxiety and thence into despair. It is easy to get rid of fear, anxiety and distress. Here's how.

Have an action plan for what ever we fear were to come true. Here areeare some examples:

1. Event: I am late. What if I miss the train.

Action plan: I will catch an intercity bus and do the job I have decided to complete today.

Result : Fear was gone.

2. Event: I was born late to my parents. I had this lurking fear about the possible death of my father around the time I was turning twenty.

Action plan :  I decided this. I will stop my education and start working to look after my mother and younger brother. This despite the fact that I had an elder brother.

Result : My fear was gone.

3. Event : My doctor told me that I had a cancerous prostrate and I needed to do a biopsy to determine whether surgery was necessary. The 10-12 days time to receive the biopsy report is usually worry-some. I did this being a Positivity practitioner.

Action plan: I  said this to myself. I would request for surgery anyways.

Result: That settled the matter and my worry disappeared.
