Truth according to Vedas

The fundamental principle of Vedanta is oneness.

There is one Existence, one Life, one Spirit, one Being in the universe. The idea of separateness is unreal. Vedants does not teach, that the phenomenal world is a mere illusion. It teaches that the underlying reality of the universe is the absolute Being which is one and one without the second lekamevádvitiyam'. What is regarded as Illusion or delusion in Vedanta is not the phenomenal, but the attribution of true substantiality or essentiality to the phenomenal without the recognition of the underlying unity.

It is generally known as nescience (ajnâa) that hides the glory of the absolute Being. The same absolute Being is called by various names. It is Brahman in Vedanta, the Good by Plato, the Substantia of Spinoza, Ding-an-Sich by Kant, the Unknown and Unknowable of Herbert Spencer, the Will by Schopenhaeur, Oversold by Emerson calls it Oversoul. But Vedanta differs from these systems by unifying the subject and object in Brahman.

Vedanta philosophy brings the thing-in-itself within the plane of experience and recognizes it in the conception of entity, sat (Existence) which has all other things as attributes or relations. The same Brahman is sat from the objective point of view, and cit or pure intelligence from the subjective standpoint. It is the infinite source of knowledge: it is the eternal knower of the universe. The same Brahman, when qualified by cosmic self-consciousness, omniscience and omnipotence, appears as the ruler of the universe. When qualified by the individual consciousness and imperfect knowledge, it constitutes the individual soul, and when qualified by total absence of self-consciousness, it forms the object or what we call ‘matter’.

Thus Vedanta philosophy recognizes three entities in the universe, God, soul and matter. The God of Vedanta philosophy is not an extra cosmic something, but it is the inner and underlying reality of the cosmic world, it forms the background of the world, and it exists both inside and outside of the world.

Vedanta philosophy also gives a rational foundation to religion which harmonizes with the modern conclusions of science and philosophy. It teaches that the soul is immortal and divine, and the knowledge of the soul brings emancipation to man.

Vedanta philosophy teaches that emancipation of the soul (i.e. individual soul) is freedom from the bondages of selfishness and other imperfections. The ethics of Vedanta philosophy is entirely based upon the attainment of God consciousness which means the recognition of oneness of the individual soul with the absolute Brahman.

Brahman, God, Man, Every Cell a Living Whole

There is a beautiful discovery. I am stating it here.

There is a whole comprised of the multiverse.

It has many component universes.

Each universe is a whole comprised of cosmos, celestial space, celestial bodies and galaxies.

Each of these is a living whole.

Let us take the milky way as one of the entities.

The milky way is a living whole.

It is a whole comprised of stars, constellations, asteroids, comets, other objects and galactic space.

Each of these is a living whole.

It is a whole comprised of sub entities.

One sub entity is our solar system. It is a living whole.

It is a whole comprised of planets, moons and several objects in the intervening space and space itself.

Each of these is a living whole.

Take the earth for example. It is a living whole.

Going down the series are humans.

The whole of humanity is a living whole. Each human being is a living whole. Relationships make this whole living.

Going down to cells of the body. Each of them is a living whole with intervening fluids and space.

Then we can go up to the universe. 

Hence the post.

It came to me spontaneously.

This life is prana.

It permeates the multiverse, our universe, our milky way, our solar system, our earth, all entities on earth, all living and non living forms and we humans too. 

Life flows in and out our bodies disguised as breath.

Food is prana. It is life as well. It is consumed and discharged as food though it is carrier of life.

This living universal whole is identified by the labels Brahman and God.

Each of the components of the universes some zillion zillions of them, are also Brahman or God. We too are God disguised in flesh and blood.

Therefore every reason to affectionately promote the throbbing heart that pumps life disguised in so many different ways in each of the entities and in the massive big unconfined multiverses as well.

Take this as an example: On sprouting there is increase in nutritional content of pulses. Here is a sample table. Do you notice that by supplying water, minerals increase - Calcium, Potassium, Sodium, Iron and Phosphorus. So creation of something occurs from nothing. This is the expression of omnipotence of the universal being - this being is not to be mixed with human being. The universal being is pure existence encompassing even space into it. We are also an expression of the being of that universal existence. The you and I are bodily seperations.

It was this table that gave me the first vision (Sakshatkar) of Brahman the universal God roughly 10 years back.

Understanding our Real Self Intelectually

What we call self is viewed in many ways.

The way defines the understanding of what we call self. And besides each way has many schools. Each school presents it differently. Many a time the explanations conflict with each other.

Therefore the assetion: एकम संत. विप्र बहुधा वदन्ति.

Ekam Sat. Vipra Bahudha Vadanti. Truth is one. Different persons describe it variously.

This truth is there is what is called 'the real self'. There is no mine, yours, their’s, our.

We are born from a fertilised ovum. The ovum itself is the cell of our mom's body. Every cell is anna-maya food stuff. So we are food stuff. Every thing in this universe is combination of five elements.

These elements are: Prithvi/Bhudevi (Hindi: पृथ्वी:, Earth), Apas/Varuna/Jal (Hindi: अप:, Water), Agni (Hindi: अग्नि, Fire), Vayu (Hindi: वायु:, Air), Akasha/Dyaus/Ether (Hindi: आकाश, Space ). Wikipedia.

Backward dissolution takes us intellectually to energy and still backward to space, and still backward to nothingness. That nothingness is full. That is the real self', true self, the self, the it, the Brahman.
